Like I said earlier, I agree with the Sadler comments. But I'm looking at more than some crazy stat of how many guys he passes at the end of races. When you're up front like Jimmie, it's hard to pass a bunch of guys....so that's not a good comparison.

But the fact of the matter is, 14 top-10s in four seasons isn't good. Mears, over his career, averages a top-10 every 5.3 races. Reed, over his career, averages a top-10 every 9.2 races. And Casey's average even includes his rookie year, where he ran all 36 races and didn't have a single top-10.

Take out his rookie year, and every four races he averages a top-10.

And if you wanna talk about Crew Chiefs, Casey Mears has never had the same crew chief two years in a row, aside from his first two seasons over at Ganassi. So that's not a good point to try and use towards Reed.

Obviously Reed is your guy, and Casey is mine, so we won't agree on anything, lol, but I'm just saying that Casey has been much more productive over his career than Reed has. And they were both with Ganassi for multiple years.

well if it happens it happens. i still believe he has talent unseen as of yet. i actually hope he does leave and can land a ride in a chevy (a good one). i hate the dodge package, and i don't see them getting any better.

hmm interesting thoughts by both Dave and Jeremy here-to me-Reed is in the same place as some of the guys mentioned-except i do believe hes a little better than them-I love Dave saying and I paraphrase ha "I bet if he was in the 48 hed do good" heck yeah he would ha-i think every driver would do better than they do now if they had hendrick equipment...sans dale jr-but thats a different issue hahaah. Reed hasnt been in good equipment I agree to that-but he needs to perform better than he has so far in 4 years of competition.

I agree with Dave though-all them drivers-minus Vickers-I think Vickers is actually a top 10 driver he just messes up or his team messes him up to screw him out of wins sometimes-but McMurray, Ragan, Mears, etc-that group hes right there with them. I think Sadler should of been dumped before him though-hes been dog poo this year-almost as bad as Stremme (whos just keepin the seat warm for Allgaier I think ha).

Reed at least better than menard who is spoiled brat because daddy sponsors him. Mears had hendrick equipment and got one win just saying.
Wood brothers car is available next year for reed. am i right?

reed had talked to them last year before he signed with evernham. he also talked to jgr (who wanted him before he went to cup btw) and talked with penske as well. he went with evernham because he felt they had the best shot at winning, well he was wrong.

i still believe if they wouldn't have stopped the new engine building because of having to build cars for the 44, both the 43 and 19 would be better than they are.

reed has not left a race this year because fo a wreck he cause. he had 2 blown tires, 1 engine break, 1 transmission break, and he ran last weekend with alternator issues and he finished 13th. he is good on flat tracks. and oh what gets me is bowyer is unheard of this year. i know he is running probably the best of the rcr cars and he is up in the points, but you don't hear anything about him. he doesn't get the respect he deserves either.

it is the big boys only, stewart, johnson, gordon,jr, shrub and this year martin. after that what has kenseth, or biffle or edwards or kurt really done this year. **** i picked edwards to win the whole thing this year. now i am not sure he'll even stay in the chase the way he is driving. and these guys have equipment.

stats are an illusion. it is hard facts but not real facts. jr hasn't been in the top 15 pretty much all year in the points, but he is god. i really hope this isn't true, but from what i am hearing from so close sources, it is one of three options petty motorsports is kicking around.

plus i feel kahne is gone after next year anyway. everyone is seeing what stewart has done and wants a part of it. i see shr to have 4 cars in 2012. stewart, newman, harvick, kahne.

remember you heard that here first.

Now what about sadlers Bristol win, or those few wins at RYR. And on Jr. he has 18 wins, sure he is driving for hendrick right now but personally i don't think it's all driver for the 88. Vickers has been pretty decent this year. Ragan dang near made the chase last year which is closer than reed has been. Speed is a rookie Reeds in year 4. Hornish is starting to make some gains. Mcmurray hasn't been terribly bad, STremme i got nothing he hasn't done much.

I know I'm late jumping in on this one, but I'll share my thoughts with what I read.

I like Reed, and I think he has talent, and I'd be interested in seeing what he would do with a decent team. Sure, he hasn't performed up to expectations, but who really has with the teams he's been on?

Menard? Who is that? He should be helping run daddy's business somewhere! The guy wins one Nationwide race and all of a sudden he's a cup star! Ala-David Gilliland!

Casey Mears has grossly under-achieved! I'm not saying he doesn't have talent, because he does! Right now it's not helping that he is in the worst car on a terrible team!

Elliott Sadler (& Bobby Labonte) are done! They need to find a microphone somewhere and get to work! I like Elliott, but what has he done since his gymnastics exhbitions @ Talladega? Nothing

I really think Vickers will contend! Sure, his first win may have been tainted (Sorry, Ash!) but he will compete at the highest level and make A chase (maybe not this year). He needs a solid teammate

That teammate should be Allmendinger. Dinger, I think, has shown flashes of brilliance and if put on the right situation, will also compete.

Scott Speed needs to go! He does not belong.

Stremme has potential, but needed to prove himself THIS year. He is hearing footsteps, and may very well be out of a ride next year (though it should be Hornish going away). Say hello to Justin Allgaier

And a little off topic, I can't even begin to explain how excited I am at the thought of Harvick joining Stewart-Haas! I have been a fan of RCR since forever! When Dale died, alot of my Dale-loving friends chose the name, I stuck with the ride and I'm glad I did. It'll be hard not cheering for an RCR car, but with my son being a Stewart fan, it'll make things fun in the household.

Oh, and someone give Scott Wimmer a ride (and Boris too!)

Let's not forget probably the guy in the worst situation-Jamie McMurray. He is a decent driver who is going to go from the elite to the left-behind. Let's face it, Yates is the Washington Nationals (or maybe the Generals, for that matter) of NASCAR.

    Ok, I'm done...I think
