    Team trade group?

Just wondering what everybody think of a team trading group in basketball. The baseball and football forums have groups, why not us?
I remember a couple months back there was an attempt at a trading group, but it quickly dissappered....

LMK, give me some input on this. It would give us a way to get rid of cards we don't want for cards we do want. and it would give us trade opportunities if things are slow.

Sounds like a good plan. I got dibs on the Celtics if ever this one goes through. I used to be a member of a team trading group before in another site. I suggest if your ever going to do it make it quarterly. It gives time for members to come up with cards for other teams. This is also a good time to get rid of unwanted base, inserts, rc's, gu and autos that may not be valuable to one person but is very valuable to a team collector.

This was actually being discussed by the Basketball Team. We do plan on starting one at some point soon.

    That's great to hear!

Basically what everyone does is choose their favorite team for the group (like me for Wizards, or jprk for celtics). I also remember some people choosing their favorite colleges as well. What happens, is every month, or every three months like jprk stated, everyone gets assigned to another member in the group and has to send them cards of their team. There may be a set requirement of how many cards( like at least 15 for example) must be sent. But you are not required to send rookies, inserts, GU/auto, but you should so you can get a better package from the person you are sending. So every month (or 3 months), you'd be required to send out 2-3 packages and receive 2-3 packages, so that everyone in the group receives something.

I'm not sure if that makes things clear, but hopefully it does.
