You know.. I used to think that too.. but then I had a daughter who is now almost 2yrs old.. and taking her shopping in a mall or to the Zoo and allowing her to wonder around freely is not a good idea for many reasons. I still haven't purchased a leash for her.. but I sure do understand why some parents do!!
