I just don't get it, I have been seeing McGinn cards going for more then BV on ebay constantly....I just dont get it. Look at this auction, barely been up for an hour and already at 22$

I understand that the patch is pretty nice but seriously, the sharks don't normally get hobby love and especially from a player who didnt play the whole season or do extremely well......I dont know if my wallet can take it

I wouldn't be too worried, like the others said, one of the first cards on the Bay, plus the fact its a very nice patch are probably reasons this one will sell higher than usual.

As others have said - nice patch, immediately after (technically before) release, from the most high end release of the year. Everyone is watching Cup cards right now. If I were you, I'd only go hard after any 1/1's you want right now (if any), and wait a few months for everything else. Unless he has a ridiculous break out season, that's maybe a $30 card by Christmas, and a $20 card by the All Star Break. Patience, and planning are key when collecting a rookie.

BV is a rough indicator. Its supposed to fluctuate. If more people collect this guy and are willing to pay more, then BV should go up accordingly. The fact that it doesn't is Beckett's problem, not the market's.

Cards of his are going for more then what beckett is listing, for example, a couple days ago I saw his FW Auto Patch go for more then 50$ (which is BV)
