Yeah, I saw this too. I was hoping to find a vid to post on here. Only found these quotes from Wilbon.

I saw this to, I think the days of cards being collected by kids is done but I don't think the hobby itself is anywhere near done.

I agree for kids it is probably a thing of the past. As for the hobby I really think with some people it has actually gotten stronger. I didn't collect for a number of years because of the junk put out in the late 80's and early 90's. Once I started seeing the quality of cards now and lower production numbers it was refreshing.

why would anyone care about their opinions? If they don't collect or do research into the hobby than their comments are without merit

They honestly don't know what they are talking about there...maybe someone needs to introduce SCF to them! lol

If they had statistics to back up their views I would be fine with it.I can say anything is dying and an uninformed viewer would believe me,I do think it is not a good market right now from ages 8 to 18 but I think the hobby is probably stronger for the older crowd like myself ages 35 through 50.Also I have no statistics to back up my views so I'm probably just as bad.Take care Steve

They did say cards sales have dropped as much as 80% since 1994 but I'm not sure what was meant by that. If that was the wax being busted or singles being sold. I think there could be a lot less packs and boxes out there with how much more expensive a typical box is today so that stat could make more sense but if you look into it, it doesn't really mean the hobby is dead.

The only MMA fighter these two can name is Kimbo Slice. To say they are out of touch with sports/youth is a total understatement. Can't wait for them to go off the air - I can't see anyone under 50-60 even caring.
