I just recommend steering clear of the retail boxes. Go to a sports hobby shop and look for something there.
To be honest if you only want to spend $10-$20, you could pick up some higher end packs (isntead of boxes), like SP Game Used, or Trilogy, etc, and youre likely to get decent cards. As opposed to buying a retail box for $20 and getting mostly worthless cards.
