Support for Afghan war drops, CNN poll finds

A new national poll indicates that support among Americans for the war in Afghanistan has hit a new low.

Forty-one percent of people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey released Thursday say they favor the war in Afghanistan -- down 9 points from May, when CNN polling suggested that half of the public supported the war.

Fifty-four percent say they oppose the war in Afghanistan, up 6 points from May.

How long until this war is as unpopular until the Iraq war? But as with many other Obama policies, people will disapprove of the war, but still think Obama is "doing a good job."

I can tell you that my opinion falls right in line ... I don't approve of this war and I don't think it will ever end.

War is the #1 money making excuse that the Fed rallies behind and until the greed and corruption within the American Government is contained it will never end.

I listen to a local radio personality here in Tampa, Bubba the Love Sponge (some may have heard of him through Sirius Satellite) and he was having a discussion yesterday about the war and Osama Bin Laden and how many people actually think the US government is just using OBL as the face of a never ending war ... I almost had to call in and tell him that IMO that is exactly what is going on. There is no way that in 8 years we haven't been able to get this guy (if he is still alive) and that they are just using him as a scapegoat to keep taking over and instilling our power in the middle east for something much much larger than the war on "terror".

It scares me to all **** what could be coming, but one would have to think that the end is going to be another World War, and for the life of me I sure hope it's not and I would be willing to bet more people would agree with me than not.

No offense to all those Military men and women who are out there fighting and whatn not, but it's time to get home ... it's time to put an end to the sensless fighting going on and not as important the senseless spending, funding this war.
