08/09 SPGU 8-Patch Card 1 of 1

I opened a box of 08/09 SP Game Used last night and one of the packs had one thick card in it. Turns out that it was an 8-patch card that included: Crosby, Malkin, Staal & Fleury of the Penguins on 1-side and Zetterberg, Lidstrom, Chelios & Osgood from the Red Wings on the flip-side. It indicates that it is a 1-of-1.

Does anyone have the first clue how much this would go for on the open market ? I'm not a fan of either team, but it seems like a nice card for someone, since the last 2 Stanley Cups were played by these two teams.

With Crosby stuff these days, depending on the patches, it could be a pretty penny. Got a scan?

I'll have to take a picture and put it up tonight. I will say that UD did the most ridiculous thing....you would think that Crosby & Malkin would get the better patches. Nope. There's were All-Black. Staal's is part of the logo and Fleury's is part of his number. I can't figure that one out at all.

Yup, that's what will happen...I was just trying to get a gauge on what the "Buy It Now" price might be. I don't want to be one of those guys that puts a laughable price up and, at the same time, I don't want to undersell myself with a BIN price that's too low. I go through the same dilemmas when I trade my stocks using Limit Orders......it's all a gamble, I suppose.

I might be interested in trading for it, but would like to see what the Wings swatches look like. What are you collecting?

I should have commented on the RedWings patches, as well. They are not impressive at all. Zetterberg, Lidstrom & Chelios are All-White and Osgood is All-Red. Not sure what Upper Deck was thinking putting such plain patch swatches on such a unique card.

It seems they save the good swatches for their higher end product. I still could use it with my Zetty collection if interested in a trade..

That's a valid point....but I'm sure UD can spare an emblem or two for a 1-of-1 card like this, don't ya think ? I'll take a look at your collection when I get home and let you know via PM. I have some other Zetty patch cards with the wheel spokes from the RedWings emblem, too. I can send pics of all of them. Thanks !
