I like the design. Not too flashy like UD often tries to do. I wouldn't have minded some action shots for design but there will be time for that. Overall, Id say a 8.5/10.

I personally like the design, why try to do to much with it like UD/Topps has tried, simple is sometimes better

Gotta agree here. I like the cards. They look simple, but they still look good.

In all honesty, i feel that the real Fleer was the best at designing cards with there great base sets like Flair Showcase, EX-2000/2001, Metal Universe, and countless others.

Upper Deck designs were not bad, but they were mainly known for their Holographic, Autos, and GU cards. While Topps weren't that great either, but they were mainly known for their Chrome and Refractor cards.

So to Panini, they don't have to be great at desiging cards, but i do feel that they have to introduce something new and innovative that we haven't seen yet, and create there own identity. If they just rehash the same things we have already seen, I will quickly hate them.

Yeah, simple can be better, but there's a difference between good simple designs and boring and bad simple designs.

I really love the look of the card, its just the color of the Panini logo that bugs me. It just sticks out like a sore thumb. Change the color!!! thanx :)

I'd like the cards a lot more if the Panini logo was different and the cards were chrome or foil. The look isn't bad, but if they're just plain cardboard, I'd be far less impressed. Granted it's a "same-day" card so I won't hold them to this design as what to expect from Panini in the future, but I hope the cards are a little nicer than this.

I like these cards now that they are signed. I do agree, the company needs to make the logo a little different when they introduce the high-end products. For this set, it is fine, but for cards that have chrome they need to match the color of the name, logo, etc...
