Question about this parallel card

I got a ton of these way back when I was collecting football cards.....and even though I got rid of most of them a few years back I still got a couple of the common guys left.

I wasn't quite sure back then what they were and still aren't.

The cards are from 1997 Pinnacle Inscriptions and have Challenge Collection on the back.

I always thought they were the CC parallel but they use to book for a lot (much more than today) and I got tons of them at pace that should have meant they were more common. BTW I didn't pull them from packs but from those "card cube" things that are made of plastic and hold about 200+ cards in them.

There something I wouldn't touch now but back in 1998 I didn't see the harm with them.

Anyway my question would be are these really the Challenge Collection parallel or are they just the regular cards?
