Anyone thinking about going to the Olympics
Anyone thinking of going 2 the Olympics in 2010? Good place to go searching 4 autographs. Hopefully there r practices for Team Canada.
Anyone know if there will be events where people could meet players?

If there are meet and greets, definitely go, as you'll have a tough time waiting for autographs otherwise.
I'm assuming you're from the Vancouver area, and a couple weeks ago, on Global TV, they showed the security that will be around the arenas and such, and there are literally BLOCKS that will be closed to the general public.

Oh! I wanted 2 go 2 some of the venues like hockey or skiing but I guess I missed out on the tickets. I wanted 2 take advantage since I am from Vancouver.

2014 is in Sochi, Russia.
Your best bet would be to try to get autos from these guys while they're coming through town with their NHL teams. Security for the Olympics will be off the charts, whereas during regular NHL game nights you can stand outside the parking garage of the arena and get autographs relatively easily. There's also the TTM option.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I definitely have to agree with RGM81. When the Olympics were first announced, I thought I would go to Vancouver as well for hounding opportunities (I'm about 4 hours away. However, as the years passed, and I saw news stories about hotels/motels/trailers/etc. being booked up right away, and then (like I mentioned before) the news story about the incredible amounts of security, I thought better of it.
I guess there are some sway meet and greets and such, but I think I heard tickets for the NHL ones were about $500 each. Not for me!
If you are already in the Vancouver area, then why not hound on a regular basis during the NHL season? TTM is also a very good way to go as well - I can always let you know how some of the "superstar" player's habits are!!!
