It's not a true RC, it's a parallel. The true RC is the /99.

It isn't a true RC , it's a parallel and in the hockey market they do not get the love that their basketball counterparts do.

It's a parallel....all price guides and official magazines do NOT consider the "gold" cup parallels as true rookies....sorry

Everyone else beat me to it, but I'll say it again.....

Parallel cards are not RCs. The Stamkos /99 is consider a RC.... and that's it (from The Cup).

Why can't the two cards simply both be recognized as different versions of the rookie card??? Why is it deemed necessary that only one of the cards is the "true" rookie?

Although not considered an "official" rookie by whom ever it is that determines that, the Stamkos gold Cup rc numbered 91/91 (or any other player as well numbered xx/xx) is considered by many to be THE best rookie card produced of the given player. For instance the Ovechkin /99 Cup rookie depending on the patch sells for a few thousand. His Gold Cup rc numbered 8/8 has sold for over 20k.

thats because there are only 8 copies....the stamkos has 91..not as scarce...

obviously a Mason rc/249 will sell less than his gold which is a 1/1

Steve Mason's Gold rc is actually /30. Bogosian is killer though, since his gold and honorable numbers is /4.
