Buyer Beware
There is a store offering cards for sale on Beckett where the card sale listings are misleading (to say the least). I won't mention the store name but you should be aware of the listing in case you want to buy. You should know exactly what you are getting.
The cards are listed as 05-06 UD Victory silver cards. If you are like me, the mention of "silver" indicates that they are selling the silver parallel which are numbered to 250. In fact, the cards being sold are not the silver parallel but are actually the base version of the card.
I e-mailed the seller who said that, "No. I sent you the silver parallel. The base cards are white." He also claimed to know nothing about the silvers being #'d to 250. To my understanding there are no "white" bordered 05-06 UD Victory. Both the base card and silver parallel both have silver borders. The only distinction between the two is the serial numbering.
This post is not a knock against the seller! The seller has been extremely gracious and has offered a full refund. I haven't decided whether to take him up on it yet. (It will cost more in postage to return the card than I paid for it)
I just want other potential buyers to be aware and avoid dilema's like mine.Hidden Content

Just for clarification - the 05-06 Victory Base cards (1-200) are white bordered and have silver , gold, and black parallels #'d /250 (which I can't off hand recall but Beckett lists it ), 100, and 5, whereas the Victory Update base (201-300) are silver bordered and have only gold and black parallels #'d /100 and 5 respectively and were found in UD2 packs only.

Thanks for the info. Definitely makes a difference!
Of course the UD website shows silver borders on the sample photos for the base cards. Nice job UD!Last edited by Drewk86a; 08-14-2009 at 10:09 AM.
