for the vick lovers, i do not hate vick, but i sure don't approve of his habits, or rather lack of habits when it comes to studying game film, or the fact that he lied about the dog fighting when it first came out. what is he, ignorant, or just plain stupid?

Sorry, but a lot of NFL players have had run ins with the law at one point in time or another. And no one is on his jock strap because he is/was a good QB, but the guy was definately one of the most watched and exciting players in the league.

who are we to judge what ranks worse in the grand scheme of things...we all do stupid things and we all mess up...i am not defending his actions...i am saying we all screw up.

Speaking as a philadelphian, I love it. very low risk potentially high reward. Put him on the field in a wildcat or other gimic play set with guys like McNabb, Westbrook, LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson, and Jeremy Maclin there is not a defense in the league that can contend with that speed.

Probably...BUT McNabbs worst season passing % is better then Vick's best season passing %...McNabb haters are stupid though so I am sure they will be calling for Vick sooner then later. Vick is not here to contend for McNabb's job...yet...both have contracts expiring in 2 years, Kevin Kolbs also expires in 2 years, don't think that's coincidence.



Should he be paid are you asking? Or rewarded for what he has done? Not sure if this is a "bearfield type" question or a legit question. But Mike Vick has done his time, there has never been a animal abuser who has served more time. There are players in the NFL who have been guilty on manslaughter and got off with less (Donte Stallworth) or grouped with gang/other type of manslaughter/murder affiliations (Ray Lewis/Leonard Little) and are still playing and making millions. Michael Vick is getting paid to be an athlete on the Philadelphia Eagles and make plays.

it was a legit question. i believe anybody convicted of a felony should be banned from the nfl.

Possibly a racial issue here, so I will not address the racial part of it. He claims he has learned from his mistakes realized the group of people he was associating with was wrong and says he will try his best to make good on the wrongs he committed. Noone can forsee the future to know how this will play out. He will have to show by his actions. There is nou doubting what he did was incredibly cruel/inhumane/disgusting/etc., however I am also a forgiveing person and if Michael is truly sorry, he deserves forgiveness.

people are creatures of habit. vick obviously had a passion for raising and fighting dogs. its a way of life. he went to jail for it. a passion is not something you can just turn off. its human nature, wether you like it or not, wether you like or approve of me or not.
