don't worry gladdy....bearfield is just a grumpy old man and jealous that you are so young

    just kidding bearfield

seriously though....people need to move on and find someone else to criticize...If Vick fails, he knows that everybody is going to come down on him hard, and I will understand all the "told you so" comments if that happens....until then, people should save their outrage for other things

people do deserve chances at redemption, and I'm happy for Vick to have his opportunity...he knows he must take full advantage of the situation presented to him, and I have confidence that he will overcome this chapter in his life

Where has all your "experience" gotten you because you are doing the same thing to others that you are accusing someone else of doing.

FYI, try reading the thread you're posting in, gladdy never called you a racist.

I'll jump on that train. I'm 22 and have only drank once. And I hate the taste/smell

Only 15 here but, all the kids on my high school football team drink, dip, and smoke. i used to always be pressured to try it by many kids still nothing. I refuse, and the fact that my dad, and the rest of his side of the family, are all alcoholics just helps my cause. I understand that as much as I do not ever plan on drinking, that I can see my self on a Sunday afternoon enjoying a beer or a glass of win or two while watching the game. Its just how the ball rolls.

No one can ever be inside another person's head to know weather or someone is truly sorry. Its just another fact of life. No one can judge another by what he or she says or does because not everyone can trust another persons word. No one truly know what happens in another persons mind except God. So please, just lay off of him. I don't condone, nor forgive his actions being a huge dog person. But I do think he needs a second chance. Everyone does. We can only base our thoughts and feelings of Vick by what the outcome of his second chance is. Until then, we all must just sit back, and watch it as it all plays out.

So just because someone is impaired by alcohol makes it ok to drink, drive, and kill someone? You still didnt answer the question.

The problem with your argument is that you use gross exaggerations, Vick wasn't running around the neighborhood strangling people's pets, no wonder the guy doesn't stand a chance with ridiculous statements like that.

sure I answered your question. First word in my response, absolutely. And he was going around killing his own dogs which could have lived much better lives being adopted by families instead meeting a brutal untimely death because they could not rip apart their own kind

Wow, good to know that you value animal life more than human life. Absolutely ok to drink, drive, and kill someone, but you are an outcast of society, a sociopath and psychotic for killing dogs. I'm pretty sure you're in the minority on that opinion.

I don't understand this "going around" and killing dogs? Was he going around town with dogs in his car, pulling over in front of the local 7 Eleven and killing his dogs in public? No, he wasn't but then again, its more fun to make things up than look at what really happened.

absolutely, just about every case there is no premeditation to drink and drive in order to hit someone. Vick knew exactly what he was doing and thought ahead on how to dispose of the animals after killing them. Have you ever had a buddy that got pulled over for a DUI? Have you ever had a buddy that was arrested for strangling neighborhood pets?

That may be true. But we all are taught to not do this. yet someone makes the decision to do it. Its a choice. What Mike did was a choice. If you are dumb enough to drink and then get in a car, you may not have the thought that you can hit everyone. But you put every other driver in a dangerous situation. You are not only a danger your yourself...but to the drivers who are smart enough not to do that.

Listen to the press conference. He seems remorseful and sorry for what he did. We have to take his word that he is ready to start over. He said a lot of right things. And the fact that Tony Dungy is up there mentoring him. He isn't getting paid to do this. Tony is one of the nicest people and good hearted person. He believes in Michael, why shouldn't we

That's a good point, you hear from every source possible that drinking and driving is bad and that you could kill yourself or others if you do it.

Wouldn't driving your car to a bar knowing you're going to drink and planning to drive home be pre-meditated? (Insert up and down head knod)

gimme a break, thats what they all say "after" they get caught. and some people believe them.

    ............

Wow, you really are trying to find a parallel between a late 18 century serial killer (which was mostly likely multiple killers killing on order from the crown), and a guy who abused animals and evaded taxes?

I think Wheelers quote about stepping over his dead dog to get his service weapon comes if something happened to his kid comes to mind --

Don't ever put a humans life over a animals.

Your reference only shows that you have completely shut off realistic thought processing. If your so blindly enraged by the actions of this individual because he killed dogs I'd hate to see your reaction to something more pressing in society.

What I mean by that is -- There are so many more important issues that need to be addressed in our society, but you choice to socially reprimand someone who is trying to move on with his life even after repaying his debt.

I normally don't respond to comments on here -- but after reading that ridiculous statement - I couldn't resist! Now I don't know you and I'm not trying to upset you, but you may want to reevaluate your position on what's more important. ;)

nice way to twist my words. Absolutely was the answer to your question about killing animals being classified under psychopathic while drinking and driving is merely a mistake, a lack of judgment brought on my inebriation from alcohol. In no sense did I EVER give any indication as to human life being valued less than those of animals, merely comparing two cases. One with a much more malicious intent over the other
