I disagree....Vick, with the right frame of mind, proper work ethic, and the tutelage of Andy Reid could get 8-10 more years of NFL football out of his body.

I don't remember who said it, but Reid's ultimate goal here could be to mold Vick into the QB we all thought he could be when he was selected #1 overall. Vick has admitted that he was lazy in Atlanta, was the last one in the building, first one to leave, and that he survived on talent alone. Talent alone got him a .590 winning percentage and 3 pro bowls.

Also, I completely disagree that Vick won't be used other than as a backup QB. As somebody already pointed out, the wildcat phenomenon is one of the most overblown things in football today, and the Ravens did shut it down against the Dolphins. However, I believe Vick is the ultimate wildcat player, and Reid is creative enough to run some things that nobody has ever seen before. My opinion is based on nothing other than a gut feeling, but I believe the Eagles offense has the potential to be extremely dangerous and almost impossible to gameplan with the addition of Vick. Coach Reid said on Friday that "He will contribute. And you can ask defensive coordinators on other teams whether they're worried about that." You don't risk alienating your fans and sponsors to sign a guy that will cause controversy just to sit him on the bench as a backup.

Also, I don't think Kolb has very much time left with the Eagles. I confess I don't know much about him, but what I do know of him leads me to believe he's not anybody's QB of the future....maybe somebody's backup QB of the future.

do we have any proof that he has developed a work ethic and changed his frame of mind, we all know--TALK IS CHEAP.

he admitted he was lazy in atlanta, like the whole world didn't know. its no big deal to admit something everybody knows.

as far as gameplanning for him, its not like reid is a genius and the rest of the coaches in the nfl are stupid.

have to wait and see about kolb too. nobody has proven he doesn't have any talent, or he wouldn't be a backup.

Well since he still hasnt made the roster for opening day ...he will be a backup and NOTHING MORE IMO However he still has to make the team. Eagles have 4 QB's signed and he is no 4 right now.

God I hope you are right. I can't stand watching him play if it was in college or preseason or whenever. He isn't going to be the answer. Give me AJ Feeley before you give me Kevin Kolb. I'd love to have McNabb, Feeley, Vick at the end of the day for my QB's. But I think Kolb will still be there.

"I'll be a receiver. I might be a tight end," he said with a smile Monday. "You never know where I'll be."

Donovan McNabb talking about how he and Mike will be on the same field. I really like the sound of this.

hmmmmmmmmmmm the irony of who this comes from

However laughable if people feel Vick lining up at wideout(which according to ESPN philly he will not be) is scary to any defense.
