NFL Suicide Pool for CC
I've been thinking that we need to have a card cash suicide pool for the upcoming NFL season. For those of you that don't know how it works, here's the rules:
1) Each week (up to 17 weeks total), each participant selects one team that they think will win their game that week. No point spreads, just winning the game.
2) All picks must be PMed to me by the start of the first Sunday game (1 PM EST) each week. If you want to pick a team playing in a Thursday or Saturday game, it must be PMed to me before the beginning of that game. Once you make a pick, you cannot change it unless you have violated Rule #4. I will post ALL of the picks on a thread in the Cardcash Betting forum as soon as possible after the deadline. The NFL season is already published, so there is NO EXCUSE for missing a week of the season. I will PM my pick to the person that sends their pick to me first each week, to verify that I have in fact made my selection without any bias.
3) If the team that you choose wins that week, you continue to the next week. If your team loses, then you're out for the remainder of the contest.
4) You can only pick a team once during the entire 17 week season. I will be keeping track of who has picked which teams each week, and will post an up to date list on my website so that you can make sure not to pick a duplicate team.
5) If all participants are eliminated in the same week, then those participants eliminated that week will all remain in the game.
There is an unlimited number of entries for the contest. The entry fee will be 50 cc per person. If you want to play, you must do the following:
1) Post here that you're interested in playing.
2) Donate the 50 cc to me BEFORE the first weekend of the season (The first game is almost a week away!!).
Sorry to make you pay the CC up front, but we need to make sure that the winners get paid! I will keep detailed, public records of who has paid and how much CC is available to the winners. I currently have 1505 cc in my account. 50 of that is now being set aside for this game, leaving me with 1455 cc for my own personal use.
Payouts will be as follows:
Grand Prize - 70% of the CC pool
Second Place - 20% of the CC pool
Third Place - 10% of the CC pool
(Note - I am not making any cc running this contest unless I win)
In the case of a tie for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place, the game will continue (if possible) until each place is determined. Other tie-breakers may be added if it looks like we're running out of weeks in the season and might need to break the tie in another fashion.
I anticipate that we'll have no problem getting at least 10 people to play. But if we do not have 10 people sign up, then everyone will be given an option to withdraw from the contest.
Feel free to post here if you're interested in playing or if you have any questions!
Good Luck!
John

I would like to be in this. PM or something to confirm it, then I will send the 50cc. Just to make sure I'm understanding we can pick a winner from any game that week except a team or teams we have picked in previous weeks?

PM Sent
You're correct. You can pick ANY team in ANY game that week as long as you have not picked that team before.

Count me in 50cc coming. So the deadline is before each game starts? So we can pick our team on monday for MNF right? And is it 50cc a week or just 50cc for the whole year? PM me.

I suppose that getting the picks to me Monday for MNF would be alright. I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be.
So...Get the picks in before the game you pick starts. To be safe, I recommend getting them in at least an hour before 1 PM EST each Sunday. It is 50 cc to play for the entire season - not each week.
So far, I have received the CC from:
Me
Blazin' Pro
jayk1998
insanefishpossay
superman23
Thanks guys.

Then why not post it in the Contest/Trivia section as well? Many more people look there, and I'm sure it'll get many more participants.
