Mullen leaves RoughRiders for NHL job

The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders announced Monday that assistant coach Mark Mullen has left the organization for a job as a scout with the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings.
Mullen, who played for Des Moines in the USHL, was in Cedar Rapids for two seasons, coming to town after being as assistant coach at Andover High School in Massachusetts. He played four seasons for Boston University.
