Ufc 2008 Round 1 Quiz

I am a new collector and there seems to be a wealth of knowledge in this forum and have a few questions.

How many total cases/ packs of round one were produced?

Is there a way to figure out just how many sets of each type are out there
by the ratio on the back of the packs and knowing the total case/ pack number?

Please tell me how many total sets were made of the following :

victorious debuts =
top ten fights =
thick golds =
mat relic =
Base sets 1-99 =

thick silver /288 = 288 <------right?
gold numbered to /88 = 88 <------ right?
fighter wore gear = 350 <------- because all are numbered to 500 except sean sherk = /350 <------- right?

If you can please post your answers and confirm the bottom three and how you came your figures. Thanks DW

I'm not sure on the math for this and I didn't keep any of the packs that have the ratios?? Also is there a way to figure out how many complete autograph sets there is. but probably limited to the number of group "A" or "B" autographs????? Could some help figure this out and post it for everyone to see. Just how limited is this product??? Thanks, DW

Slightly off-topic but has anyone made a Round 1 check list in spreadsheet format?

I also would like to know about the different Fighter group and what it means. How are fighter groups different from each other? Does Group A mean there are less autos produced compared to B?

Group A autos GSP, Silva, Couture, etc were all harder to get because they were group A auto's, and made alot less of them compared to Group B, BJ Penn, and others they made a little bit more of, and C there were more and so on. Group A is the hardest to pull, thats why the big $$ for them. Hope that clears it up:)

How many of each Blue Autograph are there in 2009 Topps UFC Round 1? Based on the odds written on each pack, and the number of fighters in each group, we came up with the following.
It is possible we are really bad at math, or there are different odds within the group. For instance, there could be less Gracie Autos than Rachelle Leah autos in Group C, but we are assuming they made an equal amount of each subject in each group.

Possible number of Blue Autographs that exist in Round 1

Click on fighter to find their autographs for sale
Group A- 96,000 packs/ 1:118 packs/ 4 fighters = 200 of each

Group B- Odds 1:188 2 fighters = 255 of each

Group C- Odds 1:72 4 subjects = 333 of each

Oh, I see now. I assumed they were worth more purely because they of their name recognition. Is this just a Topps thing with the autograph groups or is this sort of an industry standard to do this. I'm fairly new at sports collecting.

Not sure if it's just Topps but i believe others do this as well, u just have to check the back of boxes, and or packs. Dont get me wrong the names are what make it sell, the grouping is what makes it more rare to bring the bigger $$. Hope that helps!!
