He can be a very good coach. He knows a lot about basketball.

After seeing his colleague, Kurt Rambis, landing the head coaching job in MN, I say why not and give him a shot somewhere. He has a vast knowledge of basketball as a former player, not to mention gaining more knowledge by serving as an assistant coach under Phil Jackson.

He'll probably be next in line after Phil retires, if the Lakers want an asst. coach to take over.

I just keep thinking about him playing the pilot in Airplane. I can't take him seriously after seeing that movie. And what about this.....

I love in Airplane, when the kid is saying that his dad thinks he (Kareem) doesn't hussle or whatever, and he grabs the kid and says that his dad should try running up and down the court for 48 minutes each night...pretty comical!
