Not A Basketball Collector, Just Wondering...
What is a good price for hard-signed Kobe, LeBron, or Jordan autographs? Other than seeing eBay auctions with what seem be, to me anyway, crazy high asking prices I really don't know what the markets are like for these guys.
I'd really like to have a nice Exquisite patch/auto of one or more of these guys but I have a feeling the prices I can expect are way out of my range. I don't mind spending a good chunk of change on a high-end hockey single but I'm not sure how high I would go for a basketball single.
Any information you guys could give me would be great :)

bear minimum $350-$400 for an on-card auto in a nice mid/high- end product. and thats bear minimum you'll spend... im sure you'll get better input from some of the other collector's on here as i dont have the change to buy those 3 players...

Yeah, Kobe/Lebron run about the same, min. $300. As the numbering goes lower and the patches have more color breaks, the price goes higher. MJ? $700 if you're lucky.
Edit: These numbers are for patch/autos in case that wasn't clear. For regular on-card autos, cut the prices in half.Last edited by tarheelsnipe; 08-23-2009 at 02:51 PM.

I've seen some MJ autos selling for around $300 lately on the bay. I'd say $300 minimum on the others like was prev said.
Here's a Jordan auto that ended just over $300

I would like to buy MJ for 300. I believe Lebron signs more than Kobe therefore Lebron would be more reasonable.

Basically the guys above me hear said it. 300 is the cheapest you will get a Jordan, but beware of fake cards on ebay.

For a very nice MJ auto go closer to $400. For a very nice Kobe and Lebron auto, go $250. With these prices you will come out with great autos.
walter..
EDIT: I have purchased high end cards of MJ, Kobe, and Lebron. So I know prices
They are in my bucket, and the Lebron autos are in the "Gone" section of my bucket.

Yeah. For a solid MJ Auto from a nice product.... look around $400. As for Kobe... I would say around $200 or so minumum for a solid on card autograph (i.e. 09 Premier Auto Triple Jersey /50), and as for Lebron, again minimum price around $200-$250 (i.e. 09 Ultimate Auto /23 to 09 UD Black Auto /25).

Thanks for the advice guys, if I was to get a nice card of one of these guys I would want it to be from Exquisite. The SP Game-Used auto of Jordan mentioned above looks like a nice card for the price though, appears to be hard-signed and everything.
