    ben francisco/cliff lee

I am wondering if any of you Cleveland fans could tell me what these two are like TTM? I am sure that Lee has been bombarded by auto seekers since joining the Phillies, but Francisco??? LMK if any of you have had some success with either of them. I did see one success from a guy earlier in the season by Lee.

    Thanks for all your help

I think Lee signed pretty well in spring training this year and has only done larger items like baseballs during the season this year. I would expect him to move into the postcard group along with Howard, Rollins, Utley, and Hamels. Francisco signed a little bit during ST, but I haven't seen anything during the season.

I sent Lee a ball in the beginning of August and nothing back. I tried to get it in to the team as soon as he came to the Phillies. Will let you know. Keep in my fingers crossed.

well, may be taking another trip to clearwater next year to get some autos and have a family vacatiion.

that is when I guess I will have the best successes.

As for the postcard PP of Phillies players... You can add brett myers to that list, I got one from him not to long ago. He did send back my cards though

Benny was probably the best signer IP the Indians had....he would sign everyday. Never had to try him TTM because of this. If he signs like he did IP, you should be fine. The only thing I would be scared about is the Phils postcard thing they do. I'm sure Lee would take advantage of that. Lee also signed very well IP- he signed for me everytime as long as he wasn't pitching that day. I did send him an 8x10 that I printed up at the beginning of the season and forgot to have on me at times and sent it c/o the Indians...never got it back. I'm hoping he took the mail with him like Sabathia did last year. Cliff and his wife are active with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society...his son is diagnosed with leukemia. He use to sign at public events for donations to the local chapter. You may want to go the "Donation" route on the envelope for Cliff.

thanks shoe! I may just do the donation thing. I have never donated before, but wondered how you make your envelope stand out from the others if there is a check in it.

PLMK if you have any information on that. He is pitching lights out right now! Guess we have to take the "lights out" from Lidge (who stinks right now) and call him "LIGHTS OUT LEE"

I usually write "DONATION" in big letters on the bottom left corner. I'd write "Leukemia & Lymphoma Society DONATION" and see where that takes you. Try $5-$10 for a flat and at least $20 for a ball. Not sure if any of that would work but worth a shot.
