This is a great contest. I'm having fun.

I think you should make some of them a little more difficult, though. That's the second one I got just by seeing a face. That's too easy.

    Cool

Glad you like the contest/tournament Josh! I'm glad its going pretty well so far. I'm hoping that this contest continues to go smoothly so that we have a chance at doing a MLB post-season edition of this tournament.

As for making some of them a little more difficult, some members feel that some are very hard but they are really good sports about it. Cards that are easy for some members are very hard for other members and vice versa. I thought card #3 would be very hard to guess because its from an oddball set. I want to please as many people as I can, so I make some not-too-difficult and others very difficult (no one has yet guessed Card #3 of Contest #10 yet, lol).

    EDIT: Here's the unaltered cards:

Yeah, I don't mind the easier ones. Being 34 myself, you have to remember that there are a lot of younger members that wouldn't recognize a young george brett, or david cone and joe carter. I like the mix of modern and vintage era guys as well as the mix of stars and non star players.

For me it's always better to have the more obscure players that people can't just guess without doing some research. Great contest SDof2!!! I'm still hoping to pick up #3 on contest 10 later tonight, but I'll need that hint. :)

Right, I didn't mean to be critical.

I'm almost 33, so the faces of all of those stars from the mid-to-late '80s are embedded in my brain. The easy point was fun, but I like the detective work of figuring out some of the ones I don't recognize right away.

Although that card left over on #10 is pushing the limit of fun

yeah, I know exactly how you feel. That's what I love about this contest, tracking down the set and then the player. I guess it's good for both of us that the other didn't jump on right at 1:03 and get all three right off the bat. That would have been a nice bump though. lol

    you #3 on 10 isn't even fun anymore. :)
