    Replacement cards?

It is so frustrating when I get a damaged card out of a pack. Moreover, dealing with the card companies to get a replacement in a timely manner is even more frustrating.

    In my experience

    1) Fleer is the worst It take them about 4-5 months to replace a card. They usually do not replace numbered cards. If they do replace numbered cards, they hand write the number. Make sure you send all your packages to Fleer w/ some type of delivery confirmation because they tend to lose packages (Delivery confirmation has saved my a@@ several times with Fleer). Half the time the cards they send back to you are damaged (What is up with that?). Plus their Customer Service sucks period!

    2) Upper Deck is not that bad :confuse: It usuall takes them about 1-2 months to return your replacement cards. But if you send in numbered cards it takes about twice the amount of time because they have to send it to a different company to get stamped. Their customer service is good.

    3) Playoff/Donruss - I have never had a problem with this company. They return replacement cards in a timely manner. They also have good customer service.

    4) Topps - Only dealt with this company one time and they replaced my card plus they send a free pack of the same brand that had a gu card in it.

If anyone has any more stories or info regarding replacement or redemeption cards LMK? I want to inform all the companies about their replacement or redemeption programs. Thanks for letting me vent, Russ

I've only sent in for a replacement to Upper Deck. I sent them in a scrap of a die cut card. I never got any reply. Then I met a UD rep at a card show & he told me to drop his name on them. They sent me a Grant Hill die cut card, which booked for about $75 at the time.

Topps is by far the worst company there is. Often, if you send them a card they can't replace or redeem, they'll send you whatever they have on hand. One person I know sent in a redemption for a Chipper 1/1 auto. They didnt have it so they send him a common chipper auto. Same type of thing happened to some people with Ming Finest Auto Redemptions. They got common refractor autos. Never deal with Topps.

Fleer sucks. But when they screw up they tend to send you something as good or better in return. They've got a lot of Carter autos and old game used that book high, so they take forever but eventually it should be ok.

Upperdeck, as far as I know, is very good with replacements now. After they digitalized the redemptions, Customer Service only has to process the replacements. One time they not only replaced my card, but sent me five packs of SPx as well.

Donruss/Playoff is amazing. I sent in a serially #ed patch card and they had a new one back to me in three weeks.
