Seeing as Upper Deck only chooses five players to SP /99 who would be your choices?

Sooo early for a thread like this! LOL
It's tough to say who will crack the rosters as 18-year olds and who will have to wait for some seasoning in the minors. You don't want to rush these guys, whether they're "phenoms" or not, because you can ruin a player if you push him too quickly.

lol. I knew those 4 off the top of my head..... and I am sure they'll find a way to put at least one future no-namer from the Leafs into the set.
That being said.... your list seems pretty good, though I would imagine they'll only put 5 in there. Tavares, Hedman, JVR, Duchene OR Hodgson..... plus one of the Leafs.

I would think the aforementioned seven would eb strong candidates. Colorado is awful, they NEED Duchene now in terms of talent on the ice and ticket sales at the box office.
Hodgson comes highly touted, as does VanRiemsdyk. Tavares and Hedman are obvious, Kane and Eberle if they make the team.
I don't think Schenn will crack the lineup in LA, even for the 9 game taste test. Hickey will actually probably make the team but I don't see him as a 99 rookie, he's not even close to the level of Doughty.
