I will be in Ottawa for a few days starting this Friday. Does anyone have suggestions as to good card shops?

    Card shops in Ottawa

There is a card shop in Ottawa called EI Sports. I haven't been there but I found out about the place in a magazine.
    Thx

Never heard of that one, where is it? The two big ones are

Miraj Trading (mirajtrading.com) > Good place for boxes and supplies
Gamebreakers > LOT of singles at this place, although a tad bit expensive

    Miraj Trading: 1564 Carling Avenue

This store is strictly for boxes, there is literally just a counter and four big shelves of boxes, a few supplies as well.

    Gamebreakers :780 Baseline Road

This store is a crowded mess (in a good way) of singles, memorabilia, etc. Hans, the dealer, sells singles based upon standard Ebay sales values.

If you are in Ottawa, Gamebreakers is the best shop in town. It's at the corner of Fisher and Baseline, in the strip mall with the Lone Star Cafe.

Jim's Sportscards in Vanier, and Coin de la Carte Sportive in Gatineau on the Quebec side are also really good shops. Miraj is almost exclusively for wax, though they do have some RCs and inserts around.

    Hi

If you collect older stuff like anything from pre-WWII to pre-90s. Jim Sportscards has the best collection in town. He is on McArthur Ave, beside the Dairy Queen. Visit his website at www.jimssportscards.com and look at the vintage cards there.

If you want wax, then miraj is the place to go.

If you want newer singles, then GameBreakers, but I had bad experiences with them, like asking for triple High Book Value for a card because "sir, it's an SP" so.. I just can't recomment them.

Hope this help.. and have fun.
