Steven, I am CLUELESS on Baseball. The lasttime I saw a game gas was about 1.18 a gallon. My father left me his collection we messed around and worked on together and it has rekindled the fire that I thought had been eradicated by my Ex-Wife,Baseball card collecting :)
I mean, ****, I thought Thomas and Griffey were sure things,seems Thomas is on his way out and not in a pretty way and Griffey's RC holds a good price, but I couldn't trade them locally for a pack of top loaders if I tried :)
I am seeing A-rod ( that's a given, I do not haven't watched ball,but I have watched TV and he is everywhere) Pujols (Never heard of the guy) and that's really all , are the newer hot players. granted Alex is not new, but his popularity has been rising like a rocket over the last 2 years.
I do not know who kicks *** in the minors. Who is the GOTTA HAVE !! anymore. I do know that I read an article about a boy in Vegas and I will be chasing his cards next year and then there is a pitcher a friend told me to gather up, Strousberg(SP) but I am told he is not out yet in card form.
So,I am thinking you did not read my new member post, else instead of thinking "Good lord this guy goes on and on" you would have expected this !! :P

Would like to start working on sets before I go invest in boxes. Some seem cheap,2001 seems like a crippler when considering buy 4-5 boxes, in any companies product due to Pujol's popularity.
I guess I am saying, hit me with what ya can offer :)
I like Rookies. I love 1-3 yr old rookies. They can bloom out of the blue and be a great investment. You figure after 5-7 years,if they are not already on fire,then they usually won't be. Gary Sheffield was a fluke in that aspect :P
