true story due to freakish predictions
earlier this afternoon I posted an earlier thread on these boards and when glancing at other people's posts I came across a very nice bradshaw lettermen someone had scanned and called my son over to the computer to take a look at it because nathan is a die hard steelers fan and has been collecting steelers cards for a couple of years now.
here's where the story takes an interesting turn, a local dealer just brought in some icons new boxes in today and so I decided that perhaps i might bust a pack or two depending on my luck.
well first pack was non eventful and then my son says to me if you pull a bradshaw dad its mine as I'm opening my second pack voila"
so the dealer is doing hi-fives with my son as I'm opening a 3rd pack the dealer and the dealer beside him say to him what would you like to pull now and my 8 year old son shrugs and says out of the blue franco harris because I don't have anything of him
well you guessed it voila'' harris makes an appearance
needless to say there was three adults mouth wide open in astonishment
what are the odds you say
here's the scans, my son will be getting his picture tommorow at the local flea market and they are telling me to pass this story unto beckett as a feel good story for a die hard steelers fan who is 8 years old and to him he
just pulled a lottery ticket
sorry for the long read, oh by the way the bradshaw card is his # just for
extra spice

don't I wish I could command him to help me pull a montana, marino, elway etc etc etc
worse part is I spent $36 and he gets all of the hits

Here is something to try, tell him you need a really good Titan card to trade to me! And then Viola Titan card!

Sweet! Nothing beats kid luck! I remember I was 10 and the commisary on the Air Force Base had the Leaf Jumbo packs that had the Gamers one per box... I grabbed three packs from two boxes hoping to get a Frank Thomas... my parent made me take out the garbage when we got home as my mom and dad busted two of the packs... one of which contained a Barry Bonds Gamers... my dad said sorry bud cuz it was unlikely I'd have the another hit in my other pack... I said dont worry pops... frank's in here.... BAM! $60 card in my hand!
