He wasn't being rude, just being real. To include an email heading like "Very Important", only to open up to be an autograph request is quite preposterous and pretty low. Considering that they handle life and have to deal with business outside like everybody else. Why not just be honest and title the email as "Autograph Request" or something. That way they'll know it's an autograph request and respond to you in a different manner instead of turning to deception.

I agree with whoever Percy is. When I've sent email request I've always just put "Autograph request" in the subject heading, that way the person knows exactly what the email is about before they read it. I've had a lot of success through the mail, so obviously the people I've asked didn't mind the subject title.

All I would say is to be honest in the subject line and the email itself! I actually have did a good number of email requests and think it is even more fun to email a few of these celebrities back and forth. There are more than a few celebs that respond back to their fans. Just remember that they are also real people and that you need to treat them with respect. You are asking a favor from them, not the other way around!

He has always been nice when I have emailed him to wish him a happy birthday as I do it in return when he said it to my son a few years back. You got to remember he reads ALL his emails he gets.

i just put autograph request in the headline - that way they can just pass it up, or if they decide to be nice, they know whats coming when they open the email.
