I have an original USA Today printing plate and color press proof from the October 8, 2001 edition for sale. This date marks the day that Barry Bonds broke the single season home run record. This plate was taken directly off the press and cleaned. The color proof was laminated as the paper used to make these proofs is very delicate. At the time I worked for USA Today, there were 38 printing presses in operation so this item is extremely rare. I'm taking this to a sale tomorrow and am looking for any quick interest here first.
