    Final Ratings (out of 5):

    Base Set – 4
    Fun – 4.5
    Overall Design – 4

    Value – 3
    Rebuy – 3.5

    Total – 19/25 (76%)

You get what you would expect from this release by Topps. The base card showcase the players in an action shot from a game while the rookies are pictured from mini-camp. A set collector's delight, set contains 440 cards when you include the rookies. The Gold and Black parallels are back. Golds now appear in every other pack, making the boxes even more worthwhile.

A few insert sets are in this release with the Chicle set being the standout. This is a 100-card insert set that features current players in a throwback design from a Chicle release. These appear in every six packs. The insert set that I could do without is the Cheerleader set. Just because the sport is male-oriented, it doesn't mean these cards will appeal to collectors. This was an unnecessary addition to the set.

All in all, Topps Football is a nice set for collectors as well as TTM fans. The low duplicate total was refreshing in a box with around 360 cards. It was great to see that the gold cards appeared more often to give more value to the box. However, it is a shame to see that the ToppsTown code cards count as one of your cards in a pack when it's geared towards kids. Would much rather see more cards towards the set or an additional relic added in the place of the code cards.

Once again, I'd like to thank our wonderful sponsors at Topps for providing us with the opportunity to open and review this release. If interested in more information on their products, be sure to check them out today at www.topps.com.

Topps is something I have to get a box of every year, just for tradition factor. Thanks Topps for providing this and if I pull a Kelli card, I'll be happy.

Not bad for the price you pay... the design is a tad bit boring for me though. Thanks for the box Topps

Nice break and review! Those Chicle inserts are very retro looking...pretty neat that is an insert set and not a main set, like some of the other sets are.

    Thanks Topps!

    LOL, cheerleader cards now?

Otherwise it looks like a standard, solid Topps main set year again. :)

I prefer the simple design over the flashy, techy design of other products. I think one hit per box WITHOUT a guaranteed auto should be the norm!

Really liking the base set design. They've come a long way since 2007.

I have always been a fan of this release, I also like the simple design over the flashy design..Ed
I only trade by Beckett price guide, not eBay comp or SV, TV..I also do not collect any Panini or Donruss Baseball products..
