1st Half

Pittsburgh started out with the lead after two goal-line carries by Jerome Bettis. (Through his first 4 carries, his stats were:
4 carries, 3 yards, 3 TDs!

Then, late in the first half, the geezers came through and cut the lead in half. (THat's what I call 'em, they probably have the oldest players around in Rice and Gannon)

Halftime Score: PIT 14 OAK 7

2nd Half

Janikowski hits a field goal to cut the lead to 14-10. Were the Steelers done? No. Another goal-line run by the Bus extends the lead to 21-10.

Janikowski hits another field goal, and cuts the lead to 21-13. And then, Tommy Maddox coughs up the football, and the Raiders start driving. Fourth and 12 from the Steelers 40, Norv Turner decides to go. Boom, it's 21-19. Two point conversion--good. 21 All.

Steelers get the ball and work up the field. Clock keeps ticking, and before you know it, there's 7 seconds left, and the Steelers attempt a 42-yd field goal. And Reed hits it like it's an extra point.

And that's all she wrote.

PIT: 1-0
OAK: 0-1
