All 3 that you mentioned are from H-Town. :( (Pimp C is technically from Port Arthur, but that's pretty close to Houston)
I wouldn't be surprised if Lil Wayne died from syrup; he's from New Orleans if I remember correctly.
There are tons of rappers (specifically from the south) that talked about "syrup."
Mike Jones is one example.

I once lived in Houston for 8-10 years, but right now I'm out on the West Coast. I agree with you on Mike Jones, lol. You mentioned some great rappers, but you forgot to mention Slim Thug. ;)

Knew I was forgetting somebody.
Was those 8-10 years your child hood?
That's funny.
There is also a drink called Drank. The can is purple and it's suppose to be an anti-energy drink. Lots of my friends (me included) love that drink. Tastes like grape soda.
Obviously, that company saw how popular syrup was and made that drink. I think it's only in the South, particularly Houston.

Anti-Energy? lol how does that work?
Who's ready for Dr Dre's Detox to drop?? I think it was originally planned for a 2004 release date, but Dre pushed it back to help out his other guys.
Talk about a huge push back, it's been 5 years!
