Not a fan of signed jerseys. If I can't wear it, I don't buy it.

i wear them all, even play in the ones i can fit elbow pads under. the smell gives them character, haha.

Ive got a few autograph jerseys. Ive either won them in auctions or got them personally signed. Im trying to get rid of them now but no one buys w/o a COA.

Shawnthemon: Is the Rick Nash a in person auto?

Everyone else: For the ones that have signed jerseys, how do you display them?
It looks like alot of them are loose and just hang on walls but knowing that space
is rare in some homes do you keep them in a box/shelf or in your closet?

Ive been debating framing but I think after a while they would take up too much space
though if just on a good hanger they can easily be moved.

What about autograph fade? What's the sense in getting a jersey autographed, then wearing it only to have the auto fade due to wear and tear?

You could always get it signed again. I seen ton of season ticket holders wear their jerseys over the years with faded auto's. They add the new players each year and wear the jersey to the games. To some this is s hobby not a investment. If your not paying for the auto's I seen this as a great way to encourage athletes to sign.

well for me it was fun just to get it signed in the first place. meeting the players even for a few seconds was a rush. makes for a good memory and story. again nothing that i own is priceless and i get my enjoyment out or wearing them. framed and hung up just wouldn't do it for me i guess. to each their own.

What can you do though to keep autographs from not fading?
I know framing them does not work well. I have a Year Of the Spider
shirt signed by all members of the band Cold, that was back in hm 2005/06
Now all the autos are fading-fuzzing away like a blur.

Isnt there some kind of spary that could act like a gloss/shield/protector
from such fading or is that a dream idea I once had.

Framing them will help but you need to get the special glass that helps with that. Not sure about the spray. As I have original drawings and paid for the upgrade glass to help prevent from fading. Might want to check into that.

    DOn
