ended up finishing 3rd out of 90. Not bad. I pushed all in with middle pair and a straight draw. Got a call from the big stack who flopped a set of tens. The final table took for ever and it was super late. Plus I had already cashed $25 and was only realistically going to bump to 2nd as the big stack was 3-4 times over the other two stacks. Second paid $10 more dollars so the risk wasn't all that great.
I'm a fan of daniels' as well. I wish he would have showed better in the WSOP though. Although it looked as if his cold/allergies got the best of him.
Playing a big stack this evening. Not sure how many chips we start with but am excited to play some live poker.

Well, I took an impulse trip at about 1AM last night up to New York to play some Hold'em. It was a 2/4 table, and I bought in for $40....I was up to $120, then caught pocket 8's. This guy raises me $16 preflop (keep this in mind), I call. Flop comes K-8-4, all spades. So I'm thinking either my trips could be huge (assuming other guy is on a pocket pair, or maybe AK suited), or I'm murdered with a flush. He checks, I check. Turn is a 2 of diamonds...no help to either of us obviously. He bets $20, I push all in, thinking he probably doesn't have the flush, based off of what he pushed preflop. He calls (he had me covered), and flips over 9-3 of spades.
Are you kidding me? How do you raise 4x the BB preflop with 9-3 of spades? Already on tilt I went up to the Blackjack tables, played terrible (you know, splitting two kings with the dealer showing a 6, doubling down with 14, stupid stuff like that), and ended up walking out up $60, haha.
You gotta play bad to win I guess!

Wow I can't believe he raised you with 9 3, those people are the ones who just play poker to play, they dont care about the money

Sorry to hear about the bad beat with the 9-3 of spades, but like you said, some people who play bad have a nack of pulling a hand out of their you know what. I hope to play some up here at Foxwoods since I am on vacation and am about 5 minutes away from the place. I will post a little story if I decide to play.

I believe the final table in November is available on a pay per view basis. Still find it kind of silly that they wait 3 months to play the final table.

Ok first off especially live what you have as your hand hardly means anything at all ... you play the players not the cards
there are plenty of times where i have bet with 93 or even reraised with it ... its all about position and the read you have on your opponent not your cards...
also I'm pretty sure that you can get the wsop final table online for free

Jeremy, he donked you hardcore. It's one thing to play the player, but when you catch something like that, that's horrible lol.

I'll be playing with some play money on Full Tilt if anyone is around and wants to play in a sit and go or something.
