Bud Selig ROMLB
I read about this on a person's website, however, I think they did this last year. Was wondering if anyone in here attempted to take a shot at it.
If you write a letter of request to Bud Selig, MLB Commissioner c/o work, and ask him for an autographed baseball, he'll send you one! Seems a little tooooo simple, especially if you don't even have to provide your own ball or SASE. The blurb I read said that a signed ROMLB was sent back (short turnover time) with a letter thanking the requestor for his kind words.
Anyone ever give this a shot?

I think he is still pretty good as far as sending a ball when requested. But seems like he is not as automatic as he used to be. (maybe depends on how thought out you letter is?, if you specifically request a ball) I know people have sent requests and have had them honored (recently), but I have also seen people that have gotten signed business cards, photos, or even a letter saying the Commissioner would love to sign a ball if one is sent. (saw a dude that even included a check for 10 dollars and it was returned uncashed with a signed ball.)
Personally- I sent a picture and a SASE with a request for a ball. My photo came back signed, a ball was sent and my SASE was returned without being used.
I say help keep the Post Office in business and send a letter of request, you are likely to get something. (hope that helps)

Ditto with the baseball request working a long time ago. It worked for me like 3 years ago, but seems photos are his thing now. I know Pete Rose is no longer doing free autos TTM, but wonder what he would charge to sign my Selig baseball with his "I Cheated" inscription?
