Kinda makes you wonder if maybe Hendrick was thinking about this when he decided he couldnt find room for Keselowski. Interesting lineup a few years down the road. Johnson, Gordon, Jr, Patrick.

I think she needs to prove herself in IRL more, but I guess NASCAR is her thing now. I dont think she will be comfortable in the car at all. I doubt she will be any good. But ive been wrong before.

lets hope not. much hype about nothing. If she looked like janet guthrie we wouldnt even be here talking. she is much ado about nothing. that win of hers came in a watered down series won on gas milege that coincedently came at the last race of the series history before the merger. could it have been arranged so to bring more media attention to the new combined series.

its not enough for a woman to be able to drive she has to look great across the hood of the car. history shows this.

I fully support women in NASCAR but not this one

i dont really care if she does or not. if she does she'll only run until she finds out how hard it is then she'll go running back to irl like most of the others. the only thing that irritates me is how overhyped she is, she won one race on fuel mileage and now she's god's gift to irl.

lol calm down Paul-shes a fit thrower I know-but I dont think shes gonna be a threat to win for a while every week like kyle is-the media attention might bug you though. Im for one excited-I hope she does okay-im not a fan of Danica persay-but I am a fan of a female being successful and in good equipment in Nascar-so I hope that happens-plus its going to boost ratings, attendance, and card collectors probably ha. All good things.

Looks ike it may happen quickly after all. This was posted on Jayski's Silly Season site:
Danica to run some Nationwide and CWTS races in 2010? Danica Patrick will "all but certainly" be in NASCAR in 2010, but won't give up Indy car racing and will limit next year's activity to the Nationwide Series and Trucks, according to a source very close to the situation. Tony Stewart is the "star candidate" to be her partner and mentor in NASCAR, the source said, adding that Patrick's recent visits to Stewart-Haas Racing were much more than social -- that she and Stewart were discussing a deal, and are close to one. The plan is for Patrick to run a significant number of Nationwide races, with additional seat time in Trucks and ARCA cars. Stewart took a similar transitional path to NASCAR in 1998, running a full Indy car schedule and also 22 Nationwide (then Busch) races. Patrick's likeliest first stock car race would be the ARCA event at Daytona during SpeedWeeks next February. There's no way Patrick would a) plunge immediately into the Cup level next year, or b) give up Indy car racing until she's sure she can do well in NASCAR, the source said. Because Stewart's team has neither Nationwide cars nor trucks in its stable, a third partner will be brought into the mix, the source said -- possibly Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s JR Motorsports, or, more likely, Kevin Harvick Inc., which fields both Trucks and Nationwide cars. Sponsorship is not considered an issue for America's top female driver, and the first car manufacturer to sign Patrick to a NASCAR deal would get a big boost in brand exposure.(ESPN.com)(9-5-2009)

All hype, no hope. She can run NASCAR but she will just be a field filler till she figures out she can`t do it and runs back to the IRL.
