Many Thanks to BBallcardheaven, please read
Many thanks to Andrew, BBardcardheaven for his help in bring out a scammer on ebay.
Yesterday, September 5th Andrew contacted me after I had posted on these boards that I was going to list several cards on ebay for sale but I wanted to offer them to the board first. He emailed me that one of the cards I plan on selling was already listed on ebay but did not have a photo of my card but a link to my photobucket. He asked if the auction was mine and it was NOT.
The ebay seller was Sportscardkings99 and also known as rondotopierce. Sportscardkings99 feedback was 4 and Andrew found out that the guy was selling cards to himself to get the 4 feedback.
The guy is a CROOK.
To make a long story short, the guy had stolen eight pictures from my photobucket and had listed those eight cards for sale under his name Sportscardkings99. Everything from my Babe Ruth cut auto to a Tiger Woods Player Ink auto plus more. One is an Exquisite Michael Jordan auto patch that plan on selling since I bought another one from 2009-10
Thanks to Andrew for pointing that out to me. I contacted ebay and Andrew contacted the guy who claimed the cards were his. Between the two of us, Sportscardkings99 ended every one of the eight auction since the cards are in my safety deposit box.
Thanks very much to Andrew for his help and if you see sportscardkings99 or rondotopiece avoid the guy, he is a crook
Andrew posted a video on youtube if you want to see the auctions of sportcardkings99.
Thanks,
Ron

Thanks for sharing one of the things that happens a lot. One reason why photobucket can be a bad idea when your trying to share your cards. Others can easily take your image and claim it as yours. Of course some people as you mentioned are in the hobby to try to stop the guys and gals that try to ruin the hobby.

good work....just confused, you say he's trying to sell other people's cards, so you mean he is listing these auctions, getting the money from the buyers on ebay, and then obviously not shipping the cards??? thats the way I understand it.

That is exactly what he was trying to do. He stole the pictures from my photobucket, post a link to my cards on the auctions he set up. Telling the people he was selling his rare cards.
One of the cards he picked was the Ruth cut in my sig. I checked ebay tonight and there is another Ruth cut for sale from the same year as mine and the bid was over $4,000. with five days to go. Sportscardkings99 aks rondotopiece was demanding immediate payment.
How would you like to pay $6,000 to $8,000. for a card and find out that the account you had paid was closed and the money gone.
I sent him a message through the ebay system asking him why he was trying to sell my cards, the same cards that are locked in my safety deposit box and he replied that they were his. I sent back that they could be his because I have them locked away. He did not respond after that and with Andrew's help he ended the auctions and closed the account.
That was what he was trying to pull. Sounds like a felony theft charge to me if he had pulled it off.
