How to Sell cards on SCF

I was wondering how you go about selling your cards on SCF do you just post the cards your selling and then people pm you with offers and then how do you ship if I want the buyer to pay shipping if its one card do I tell them to send a SASE with the money even though it isn't a good Idea to send money through the mail. I need to know cause I am trying to trim my collection and get back some of the money I spent on it

Thanks in advance for your help,
    J. Evans

If you've got a must send first, you're going to have to send the cards before you receive payment.

I can almost assure you no one's going to send you cash through the mail first. You might get someone willing to go through PayPal if they get buyer protection.

Since you are under 20 feedback you must go first unless you trade with someone also under 20 then you go at the same time or you can use escrow if you guys don't trust eachother...usually people do increase the dollar amount a tad bit to cover shipping but most of the time they just ship for free. If you want more looks at your cards I suggest scanning them or taking pictures of them, opening a bucket (www.photobucket.com) put it in your signature and make a thread that says; NEW STUFF FOR SALE!!! people will come make offers be nice and you'll have sales in no time!

Usually people post what they have and either post a price or ask the potential buyer to PM them for a price. Sellers will also ask people to make offers which I don't recommend. Once a deal is reached you (or the buyer would post the deal in SCF's trade manager. To include shipping costs, simply quote a buyer a price delivered or, as it's abbreviated "dlvd". The best way to receive payment is through PayPal or money orders. If that isn't available to you, you can request cash sent (again not recommended). Never send cards in plain envelopes unless this is agreed to prior to shipping as plain envelopes offer the card little protection in the shipping process. PM me with any other questions you may have.
