player card list question
Does anyone know how or where I can get a list of all the cards of a certain player with out it being in cells for a spreadsheet? What I'm trying to do is make a website with a list of every card for a player on it. I went to "my collections" on beckett and got the list, but when I move it to word it is formated for a spreadsheet. Plus each card has a link associated with it. Needless to say there has to be an easier way to do this... I just can't figure it out. Any help would be awesome!

If you don't mind the absence of bv's, here's one way:
After entering my email address & password on Beckett's sign-in screen, I go to Beckett's free sample price guide page. I only enter the player's name and choose the player's sport--don't enter set years, set name or card #'s. Click on "Search" (under the "Card Number(s)" box). The next screen may require you to click on the player's name. After that, you should see a table of all the cards made of that player. But you won't be able to see all of the card prices on one screen. You can than copy and paste the entire table to Work without the spreadsheet format or links. After that, its a matter of how tidy you want the info to look.

This may take a little bit of work, but it did work on my computer...
1) Copy and Paste from Beckett to Excel. (It will be in table format)
2) In Excel, format it, if necessary, and delete any columns that you don't want in your list
3) Copy the data in Excel
4) In Word, use Edit-> "Paste Special..."
5) Select "Unformated Text"
This should just put everything in Word without the table formatting. You may have to enter some returns at this point to clean it up a little bit, but it's better than trying to get rid of the table!
If your version of Word doesn't have the "Paste Special" option, then another option would be to just copy and paste into a SCF post. That text won't keep the table formatting, but it will have the tabs. If you don't want the tabs in there, then you can hit the submit button and the tabs will be gone.

awesome.. it worked!! SingleDad: It still came out in cells from that, but I pretty much did what johnboy said but inside word. I got the cells there from beckett, deleted the column I did not want highlited the rest. Went to table properties and hit convert to text. I never knew it was even there, but found it because something johnboy said made me think to look there. Awesome team work guys ;) I really do appreciate!
Kr580: thanks for the offer, but i am going to be doing alot of lists so i thought i should figure it out. Thanks again!!!

johnboy - your method would work, but I think that copying it to notepad would eliminate a great deal of time. Thanks
