How do you make a custom?

I was wondering how you make customs so I could start making my own. My first question is what software or whatever, do some people use, and what to print it on.

Thanks in advance for your help,
    J. Evans

There are tons of options and no set way of making customs. Really, you just need to experiment with different things and see what you can come up with. It takes practice and some skill though too. You can just follow a set of steps and create a good looking custom.

First, find software. Photoshop is the best but if you don't want to by it, seach the web for alternatives. Paint will be difficult to work with.

Second, play around with software. It will probably take a while before you master it and can produce a decent design, especially id this is your first experience with graphics work.

Next, you have to create a design. Make it something that can be replicated so you can use the same design for various players.

The last step is printing. There are a number of ways to do it so you'll have to pick based on personal preference and what is most cost-efficient for you. There are all kinds of paper you can use, just do some research. Photo paper is another possibility. You can print them at home or have them printed. Once again, up to you.

Theres more to it than you might think and a quality customs takes time to develop. Good luck.
