I am just saying it isn't right to knock someone personally either. Don't knock a PC or a person.

Personally, I'd stay with Oshie just because you built that PC, buying someone else doesn't have the sentimental value.

    ville koistinen ?

    why would anyone
from the USA drop a decent PC of another Player with more homegrown flair and make him PC, his own (Koistinen's) family/friends or guys from finland addicted to their local hero aside ?

maybe i am missing something, but
Koistinen has yet to play a full season in the NHL (at Age 26) and i am not aware of any impact he had for the Predators dropping a Oshie-PC for Koistinen seems weird to me, but you will have your reasons i believe.
    or is it just because
you think you don't have a shot at some of the higher end Oshies out there and that on most of Koistinen's card the shipping costs will be higher then the card itself, or in other words the player is a lot more
    affordable
then Oshieleaving you with a much higher chance to obtain as much as is out there ?

Oshie... Koistinen... we talk about guys like Pat Verbeek and Ray Ferraro of the 1980's... will it really make a difference in 20 years about hobby popularity? Collect anybody you likes guys for the cash you have to spend.

I have to admit that I feel partially responsible for this back-and-forth war of words that seems to be taking place here, as mine was the first response in this thread that was perhaps a bit harshly worded (mentioning Koistinen bringing the lot of cards to you in person...). I would like to state that I was, by no means, trying to belittle Ville Koistinen or any collectors of his cards.

My comments were made in light of my knowledge of how impressive the collector's Oshie PC is, and my own views on how talented a prospect TJ Oshie has shown to be.

If it's any additional consolation, I am just as excited about my own Nicklas Bergfors PC as I am my Kyle Turris PC...

As for the Pat Verbeek plug, I second that one! Talk about an underrated performer, even as far as the card hobby goes... I'd love to see him included in an Artifacts or Masterpieces-like set, with autos and GU available. I know names like Shanahan, Sakic, Forsberg, etc. get passed around the most, but I'd love to see Verbeek and LaFontaine get some card love!

Better, but I guess you still not get this. Card collecting isnt business. I really hope that all collectors picked that guy who they really like. When you started collecting and main reason is how valuable or good player this man can be, you loose your hype very soon. Only thing what carry on, is you truly like/love guy you collect.

Ville had pretty nice start to new NHL season. Two goal against Blackhawks and game winner. Game was here in Finland, Helsinki
