I would personally start to go after a younger player for two reasons.
1. You never know who is going to become a big deal (look at Tom brady) so your collection might gain value.
and
2. There are not as many cards to get immediatly. It would be easier to piece together a more complete collection.
I would suggest maybe Chris Bosh...not too popular but not unheard of either. Plus he is in a smaller market which keeps costs down.
Just my two cents.

Cool - good choice.
Also, if you were to take someone like Boozer right now, you might get some good deals. People are getting rid of some of their Boozer cards in disgust, lol.

C. Boozer cards
Deadshot...
I know what you're saying about Boozer cards! I am located in NE Ohio, and I have about as much chance of getting rid of Carlos Boozer cards in Cleveland as an Eskimo does of selling snowcones in winter!
So if anyone is interested, I have QUITE A FEW Boozer cards available for trade. Currently looking for Luke Jackson Fleer Ultra Lucky 13's, any Drew Gooden RC's, or any other RC's that I don't have.
