If I take it out of its case would it lose vaule?, how would I take it out of its case? just snip the sticker off?

and what steps would I take to get something graded IE how to ship it and such. I remember reading something before but I couldnt find it.

First off, Grading will only increase the value of a card (if it grades high) So if you broke open the case and took it out, it would be worth the same as it was before you graded it (unless it graded a 10). I have no idea how to break one of those cases...thats why I always say "Don't get a card graded unless you think it will get an 8 or higher" I say that because its not worth it (money & time wise) to send in a card you think will get a 7 or below because hardly anyone will have an interest in it (unless its vintage).

I believe that you have to put the card in a top-loader then in a team bag and then in a box with some nice cushening. Just check out Becketts site or PSA's site or whoever you want to grade your card(s) and see what they say about packaging.

    Hope this helped you!

You need to put it in a Oversizrd Semi-Rigid holder to send it to Beckett. Check Beckett's population report to see if any of that card has been graded (i.e. taken out of the case) to see if that is accepted.
I can send you a Beckett Collectors Package coupon if you want. It has a Beckett, Beckett Plus, and a coupon for one 5 day grading (total $35 value), you pay $5.99 for shipping and handling. If you want one PM me.
    Regards,
    Mike

I have broken a graded case before..I traded for one of those Just 2K Mystery Signatures AUTOS of Miguel Cabrera that came graded by USA (WHO?)...Mine was a PSA9 which has no multiplier over the regular version, and anyhow I hate graded cards, espcially of crappy brands so I decided to bust the case....What I did was take a pair of pliers and clamp it around the top near the area where the slip is and pulled up on the case while I held the case steady. It took a while, but I was able to get it cracked good enough to pry it open and get the card out without damaging it.

So if you are disappointed with the grade, doing that should do the trick.
