Do private messages count as posts?
Does anyone know if a private message is noted in your post total? If not, why not?
Thanks

no, because it would be completely ridiculous plus im sure there would be no way to keep up with them

because how does a pm affect your posting? posts are public, pm's are exactally what they mean, personal message,

No. They do not count because "post" refers to posting on the message boards. A PM is not a post to the message boards. Post count has no value anyways so it doesn't really matter either way.

Why does it matter if they are, post doesn't matter on the site anyways.

Actually, there are times when post count does matter on SCF. For instance, let's say you want to win a box of the cool new Tristar Obak baseball product in SCF's new Win a free box of Tristar Obak!!!!!!!!!!! baseball contest. In that contest thread, you'd find this:...Who may enter?
Since we’re giving away such a nice prize, we wanted to make sure the winner is an active member of SCF. So, by the time the World Series starts, any participant who does not have...at least 6 months on SCF with at least 500 quality (not quick two-word) posts will be ineligible...

Cool, thanks all. I was just curious. Not counting them does make sense. Wouldn't it be ridiculous to know how many PMs we've received and sent. WOW . . .
