Need Help

I have a box full of cards but I don't know how to organize. My collection right now is a mess. The cards are protected but in no particular order. They are just in the box. Would be easier to do it by team, player or set.

Please advice.

im right there with you friend. i am currently in the process of doing a major reorganization of my collection. i am organizing mine alphabetically A-Z. for me personally, that is easier because if i am looking for a particular player such as manny ramirez, i go straight to the "R" section and the card im looking for should be there. I will also have a 5,000 count box also organized A-Z for just the cards I sell on EBAY and trade here on SCF to include everything in my bucket. that way if someone asks me if i still have a card fort trade or sale, for example if someone wants to know what kershaws i still have, ill go to the "K" section and all my kershaws that i have will be there. i am a long way away from being totally organized but just the little bit i have done so far, makes it sooooo much easier to find cards. i use to organize by teams, but found organizing A-Z, is much easier. hope this helps you some.

I was thinking the same thing but I was also thinking about putting RC separated from trh commons. Would this be a good idea? I know the GU/AUTO are apart but the other cards are a mess right now. I nned to get some of those 5000 count boxes to make my life easier.

I organize by auto, gu, rc, insert ect. in alphabetical order. Make little "markers" for the start of each letter.

I like going numerically by set. That's the accountant in me...

I have no idea were to start because some of the cards I don;t even want them. I think this is the reason my cards are not in order

Any sets i have more than 20-30 cards of i put in a box/container that is big enough to hold the set... for instance, i have 3-4 thousand 1990 fleer cards that i currently have in a 5000 ct box... once it gets bigger i dont know what to do with it but then i have my 09 threads i just bought (3 packs) in a small plastic snap tite container since i have like 20 base cards or whatever.... anything oddball goes into a 5000 ct box and sits there.... i currently have about 200K waiting to be put into set boxes though
