So I set it up as a 5d auction...reserve is already hit with more than 3d left...that has to be a good sign right?

I see it going for atleast 75...possibly a lot more... next time for a card like this that you know will sell well and especially since your reserve was so low anyways, i would forget the reserve
reserves actually deter some bidding unless its hit really early, in which case it was kind of pointless to pay for it in the first place...only set reserve on really high end where you could possibly lose 100s if it doesn't bid as high as you want it
you might also want to put RC or rookie in the title since it's his rookie year...does it have the rookie logo on the wood card? Cause im pretty sure his base cards have it

My first auction and it being a 1/1 of a someone I wasn't familiar with lead me to putting a reserve on it. Glad it got hit early. Ill definitely know for next time. I didn't want to be put rookie on the title because it didn't have the rookie logo on it, even though I know the base card is a rookie. Wasn't sure if not having the logo meant it wasnt an official rookie card

12 hours left, and someone else just upped the bid. How long do you guys typically put your auctions up for?

So after 5 days of waiting it finally sold. I got an Email question from a gentleman in Japan this morning when I woke up, but eBay wouldnt let me tell him I would send it to Japan because there was less than 12 hours left on the auction. Doesn't seem like that makes much sense, and I would have sent it. Anyways here it is
Your item sold for US $87.00!
Not bad for my first eBay sell

Not bad, just around what I guessed...for any japanese player, you should definitely make sure that you make it clear that you do ship to japan. That could make a huge difference as there are some Japanese collectors with very deep pockets
