Question about Re-sending
Do you guys ever resend a TTM to a player? Say you send a TTM to a player and you haven't received a response in 2-3 months. Then you see that someone got a success from the same player in 2 weeks. Do resend?
Any advice would help. Thanks

I was wondering the same thing too. Also can you resend if you already got a success from the same person? like if a player gets traded to a new team and you want an auto with his new team. Will the player throw away the request since he already did one? Or will he not remember?

I have sent a request to a couple of players (active and retired) and forgot that I sent them out and sent them again. I sometimes get the SASE's back on the same day. For example, I recently sent to Mike LaCoss, forgetting I had sent to him months ago. I got both SASE's back on the same day informing me to send a donation to the Y.E.S.S, Foundation.
I have sent a couple of times to other players and gotten them back signed. However, 2-3 months is not a long wait. The key to this hobby is patience. Without it you will go crazy. If you want to, send again. But I would be patient with these wait times.

I have tried many guys more than one time. Yes you have to realize that it takes time for your requests to get back, but when others are getting back from same guy in a few weeks and it has been a few months I do retry. Phil Niekro was one of those guys for me. I tried like 5 times before I had gotten him and I did only get the one back! Do allow some time between, but yes I would retry should it be someone you really want and think you might have been missed by.

But you guys have to wait it out as lot of you think if it not back in 3 Months then he does not sign i myself have got cards back from up to 4 Years

If I really, really want a player, I will try two (2) times and if I get nothing back, I will not try again. Same thing if I get two RTS' for the same player at different addys - no mas! The ones who send back my cards unsigned in my SASE or with a price list, I do not pursue (no matter who they are!). I think if you continue to check the member successes on SCF, you will see that we tend to send to our favorite people multiple times with different items (cards, pictures, balls, gloves, etc.).

excatly! i had a few take that long! i just got back into this great hobby after about 7 years and seeing guys saying 3-6 monts is a long wait i started laughing i would say a long wait is about a year we dont know how these players/celebrities sign there fan mail they may sign in order in which they recieved it they may let it build up over time and sign it all in one shot. patience is the Main Thing in this hobby. as for resending to the person yes do so because sometimes especially if you see others who sent out about the same time as you get theres back yours may have gotten lost in the mail or worst Tamppered with by a POSTAL EMPLOYEE (YES THEY DO DO THAT) so the player may have not even recieved yours to begin with. what you write in the letter matters too i really do believe that if you just say hi please sign my cards (or what ever your sending) your probably not going to see that item again. hope this info helps and remember have fun.
