Question about grading?
I have some cards I want to grade. One looks perfect on the front but then when you turn the card around the back edge has some white on it. Do they just grade the front of the card or look at the back also. I would say card would be a 9.5 of the back doesn't matter.

grading imo is a joke lately it's a population report. If you have a shop and you spend lots of money you will get better grades.

they grade both back and front even the edges. they grade surface, centering edges and corners. And by teh way it may look like it would grade a 9.5 or a 10 but when they grade cards they grade it by using a 10x laupe, which you may think you dont see anything wrong with the card, under that laupe youll be amazed to see wat you cant see with the naked eye.

yea I've heard that if you can see it with the naked eye, then generally the grade is not going to be good.

If they are high end cards that you didn't pull make sure they are the same size as other cards. I know a guy who traded for a brees bowman chrome rc refractor auto and sent it in to bgs and it came back the other day as altered. When he set another card under it the brees was alot smaller from left to right. He wasted his money because they wouldn't grade the card or refund his money. It's amazing what some people will do to a card just to try and get that 9.5 gem.
