Question for us attending school

Does your school have "The Pledge of Aligance" and do you say it everyday with them..?

They play it over the intercom everyday, you are suppose to stand up and remove your hat and say it/pray it...I don't see a reason to pray at school..I stand because of my families military history but I won't say it out of respect of those who don't stand..although I do proudly say my natl. Anthm. @ sporting events.

It plays at our school every morning. The teachers don't mind if you don't stand/say it due to beliefs or w/e, but as long as you're not disruptive/disrespectful. I say it cuz of my military family history as well, also I <3 the USA!

The guy on the intercom says it super fast, so we end stumbling and bumbling alot

I went to catholic school for high school and we said it everyday.

College they don't do it

I've never prayed the "Pledge of Allegiance". I've said it though.

At the schools I've attended we've never had a problem with someone refusing to say it. So I'm not real sure if its something you HAVE to do or not.

I say it out of respect for all the people who have lost their lives or risked their lives to have the freedom we have to actually go to school. Some countries wont let people or certain people go to school. Thats just the tip of the iceberg though, I could keep going. If someone wants to live in this country and get the benefits of this country, I think they should RESPECT this country. If not, go back to their own country where they dont have freedom and see how they like it there.

My school did the same thing. Never heard of praying the pledge though. A lot of kids in my high school would not say it. But all would stand. I guess to some it is just a little awkward or to early in the morning lol.

When I was in school, it was a daily occurence, and I fully supported it.

its been a daily thing for me since kindergarten. in all honesty, though, i said every day till like 6th grade then got sick of saying it so now i just stand
